Metal cats can withstand the heat more. If you're running FI, I would get the metal cats. I had some carsound ones before and nearly destroyed them in a little more than a year. I drove the previous car hard almost everyday so that doesn't help. JMO Tony insured me these are better than the ceramic cats that I had before so I went with them. I'll post later a video and dyno graph once I have the cats and catback installed. I should get this on Friday and soon there after the install and video.

All cars vary, but you should see around 10 RWH and 12 LBS of torque.

Wow Tony those are nice gains plus it's a very stealthly mod. Would a HFC cause problems at the dealership? I know its a off road device but still wondering is it considered tampering with the emissions controls?

It all depends on what you were going to the dealership for. But they swap in and out so easily they are worth it.

Tony, are heat shields not needed with these cats? I was looking at Kinetix and Crawfords and they both have heat shields. Also is it the design of these that makes them gain more power over other HFC?

There are alot of factors. They are 2.5 mandrel bent, most others are not 2.5 inch. They are weled on the inside then port and polished for a smooth finish and obstruction free exhaust flow, and the cat we use as well. The design of it helps the performance, especially the metallic cat being 300 cell. It is less restrictive...Tony

Another question Tony, are the Fast Intentions HFC fine on rev-up models? I've been reading over old posts and seems some people are having problems with hfc/test pipes on 05+ models in regards to oil burning etc.

That is an unrelated issue to the cats. It is specifically to the 05-05 model. The reason you see it more with test pipes and HFC,s is because they are less restrictive, and the stocks cats burn most if not all of it up. As far as them being fine, sure they fit, sound and perform great...Tony

Is it come with the new gaskets, nuts and bolts?
The gaskets are needed for sure. Nuts and bolts are better to have, since re-using the old ones might not be as good (rusty).
