HELP!!!! y-pipe question

can the y-pipe be installed without taking out the midpipe and muffler?

i just got my fuji y-pipe and exhaust and i cant get the y-pipe off. if i installed the midpipe and muffler would an exhaust shop be able to put just the y-pipe on for a little less than what they wanted, or do they still need to take off the other ****?

You can do the Y-pipe later. It can be disconnected from everything else and installed on its own. How come you cant get the stock one off?

Y...........not?

WD-40 and let it cool down overnight....remove the
rear flange and pop out with a large screwdriver.
Then loosen the flanges on the cats and remove trying not to damage the gaskets. These are not
normal gaskets due to the extra heat there subjected
to. Don't ya hate laying on your back working
over head....I usually pay a buddy to use his lift
for things like this for like $10. LOL

hehe, ya im taking it to an exhaust shop to do, working on ur back sucks and i think they may have to saw one off cuz it got kind of worn down from me

to all of u, i did wd40 it and let it sit for about 30 mins, is that not long enough???

anyways, i installed hte z-tube, pop charger, and fuji exhaust. cant wait to hear it with the y-pipe, sounds great right now.

honestly, no noticeable power increases, a little more responsive and sounds GORGEOUS!!! by no means abnoxiously loud, but louder than stock, love it. very very very little to no rasp with this setup.

WOT above 3.5k =

pb blaster and impact sockets. They won't round things off when you have to resort to brute force.

I don't use rachets/sockets for breaking nuts loose. Use WD40 or similar and let it soak for a few mins, then use a close ended wrench to break it loose. Then you can use a rachet or air afterwards.

Just be sure to use a 6 point whatever you use.
Don't use a 12 point. That's what rounds off the flats on the nut.

^ w3rd. Good point I forgot to mention. 12pt is ok after its loose and you're using a rachet, but the initial turn to break it loose should be done with a 6pt.
