The 5/16" spacer worked best with the MREV+ for the RevUp engines.

I have the 1/2" and think the engine looks better without that cheap looking plastic cover. If you paint or powdercoat the plenum it looks good and you should get a cooler air charge too without the cover trapping the heat under it.

More mid-range gains for the 5/16 but the 1/2 sacrifices that for a bit more top end that would further benefit from raising rev limiter, and I'm sure some tunable EMU or reflash.

As above I've heard a lot of people say that could get they engine cover on with the 1/2 by reversing the grommets.

Either one is worth the money. Would suggest the ISO Thermal lower plenum gasket and Throttle Body copper isolation gasket as well.

I added the MREV2 recently, despite claims of lean AF on 04's. I feel the difference with all of these were worth the time and money. Got em on the original group buys though..

Because there is hardly any difference in performance between the two and the 1/2" spacer trades a bit midrange for topend power. Midrange power is far more benefical to acceleration.

if you are driving your car at 6k rpm constantly then get the 1/2 spacer, but i doubt you rev your car that high every shift and maintain there

I got the 5/16 MD because I wanted to have power that I could actually use instead of just talk about. My car rarely sees 5K+ RPMs, so why would I want an extra 2 or 3 hp up top and not as much to show for it in a useable range?
