Gained 20hp and 25ft-lb torque
I posed this in the Intake&Exhaust form because I modded my G headers back. Duh!
Both pulls are on the same DynoJet 3 days apart. I created this post so the G35 community has a reference for these mods (dyno proved gains) and to help out anyone doing research. Enjoy.
My gains represent mid-range hp and torque @4400RPM, outside of the 12ft-lb torque max gain.
Ride:
2005 6MT Coupe
Mods:
Alpha Werks Headers
Kinetix Test Pipes (Non-Resonator)
Borla Exhaust
That’s correct, no intakes mods. I'm sure my max hp and torque increased a bit since I've added a JWT Pop-Charger after these pulls. I was going to add an eManage Blue (cause a friend gave it to me), but it won't help me gain max hp and torque cause I can't advance the timing. I plan on getting a UTEC some time soon to squeeze 15-20 max hp out the car, hopefully more.![Big Grin](https://g35driver.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
How does the car pull? Much harder. Lets just say a stock G couldn't keep with 2 passengers in my car. I'm sure my G is in the 13s now.
Low 14s all day last time I went to the track. Next time I go to the track I can prove my theory.

Not to be negative or a nit picker, but I noticed two things about your dyno graph:
1) It looks like your car is running way too lean and needs to be tuned.
2) Can you post the SAE numbers instead of the STD? It's the method that the majority of the people run for comparison purposes.
Nice numbers, though, and I hope you make it into the 13s next time you're at the track! It'd be interesting to see your numbers after intake and tune. Should be pretty stout.

Didn't the dyno operator show any concern about your AFR's? Could be a false reading from an exhaust leak....where was the wide band, at the tail pipe? Very lean at peak torque then rich at redline.
Good numbers, but I would look into either confirming you are that lean/rich and get some engine management on there to correct the problem.

I guarantee you no stock G's are legitimately producing 246. Most stockers (on SGP's) dyno produce 210-222. Rev-ups maybe 230. I produced 268 w/ my mods (see sig) and believe me it was a HUGE diff over stock. JW0039 I guarantee you you will feel a big diff once you tune. Go w/ a UTEC and throw in a plenaum spacer.

^^^Don't guarantee when you don't know........we had group dynoed last month from NGC and one of our member who had 06 6MT made 246 bone stock and it was on DYNOJET..... while most of other 03 and 04 made around 220-228hp stock....... I have more mods than you have and I could not make over 260 without tune on dynojet.

G35pm
Thanks for noticing I was running lean. From what I understand 12.8/1 makes the most power for a N/A G35 motor. What are your guys thoughts?
If the G needs more fuel I have a set of 440cc injectors and was considering purchasing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The injectors aren't necessary with my hp, but the adjustable fuel pressure regulator wouldn't hurt.

I'm sure the G is leaner since I've added the JWT Pop-Charger.
I can't wait to see what happens after the UTEC as well.

G-Tofu,
If you claim that a stock G produces 246 then I know that the numbers are false. Of course it is possible that some dynos produce inflated numbers. On the dyno that my car was tested on, stock G always produce 210-220 and Rev-ups close to 230. This data is culled from hundreds of cars. So yes, I know 246 is bull.

With as much knowledge as you've acquired, I would have figured you'd learned the dyno lesson by now.
