Yea I pretty much looked at a bunch of places that sells test pipes and hi flow cats. Its amazing what some places are charging for a 15 inch pipe. Some places would charge over $250 just for 1, not 2.

hey 1badg, i saw you at the track last night. i have the blue coupe. man, i am so pissed off that i ran a 14.1 as my best. my launches were terrible. it was my first time there. i think i got it down now. when are you going next. i think i want to go back this friday. let me know. what was your girls best, i know she had problems on the first one. i better run 13s next time or ill be really pissed.

 

see, you ran 14.08 at 98 and i ran 14.12 at 100. if i get my lauch down i should run 13.8 easily.

 

Yea man I think you should be in the 13's. Maybe you just needs better tires in the rear. Yo I got the 14.0 my first run but I kept gettin 14.4 for the rest of the night. I guess the track was gettin bad from the cold weather and the burn outs. Did you have this problem?

i dont know if it was the cold. did you launch the same way the other times? i have been practicing my launch since friday. i think i got it down now. cant wait to go back in a few weeks.

 

I did really bad! I couldnt get the car to stop spinning. I spent all day today practicing my launch though, so I am ready to go give it another try now

All I know is, I gott get into the 13's and I think that either the hi-flow cats or the test pipes should get me there.

i think the Borla headers would definitely help more than the high flow cats or the test pipes. High flow cats only add a couple of horsepower (dyno proven). same with the pipes. the headers or the crawford plenum is the next big mod if you want to go deep in the 13s.

 

I totally agree. The only problem is the cash. I figured the test pipes are a cheap mod for now until and I can save some loot. Then I will get the borla headers and the plenum.

Hey 1BadG

I got the high-flow cats in my car from Crawford. Just needed a little modifying. That is, just hammered down the heatshiled on the upstream outer corener of the cat. It touched the body of the car otherwise. No biggie. Now I have about 1/4 inch space in between teh lower body and the cat - way more thatn enough.

DAMN! gurgenpb you just keeping getting more and more stuff on your car. You're fixing it up pretty good. I can't believe some of the stuff you have. It's pretty awesome! I'm sure it's a pretty phat to ride in.
