The 350Z and the G35 fit the same. They have the Random
Tech cat's and also several test pipes. One that I know of is the Mines test pipes. For the Random Tech cat's, you can contact Performance Nissan at 626-305-3000. Speak to Jenny or Jeff. The Mines test pipes can be found at Bulletproof Automotive. Talk to Colin. I know he's on this board.

Re: Hi flow Cats???
What do you guys think will be better for my car, the hi-flow cats or the straight pipes? See my car did 14.0 last week and I hoping that this mod will push it just into the 13.9 area.

Well, i would say get the test pipes. But if you are in CA, then just be careful. The fines are a pretty penny. On the test pipes, the person in back and side of you will smell the gas fumes but you should feel a good kick.

in CA.. if you get caught not only will they impound your car. you will be fined for $1000 and the cost to fix your car. on top of all that you will be doing 100hours of community service. if you think that is bad, they might also give you jail time. how do i know all this? my friend got caught with a test pipe... poor guy~

Re: Hi flow Cats???
Do you guys have race headers out for your car? You can always go catless (if you're not in a state that does visual inspections for emissions)...or you could have a shop weld a high flow cat onto the race header. That would keep you "legal." I know this mod for my car makes pretty significant gains...Just wanted to throw that out.
Also, the only two companies I know of that make hi-flow cats are Random Technology and Carsound..but Culmination is right. If you're in Cali, don't mess with it. Its probably not worth it.

Re: Hi flow Cats???
Well I'm from New Jersey, even though we are the second strictest state, I think I can get away with the straight pipes. Plus if I run into some problems, I'll just throw on the stock cats.

You can get the Random cat's from Performance Nissan 626-305-3000 in CA. Talk to Jenny or Jeff. I think they are $550 or something like that. I think the test pipes are all the same but probably just the location of the bung hole. I know that Mines test pipes fit the G35's. Havent heard anything about the Esprit ones. I personally would go with the Mines cause it sounds really cool !!!
