hi does any one have any picture with the hks short air intake? installed on there g35?
do you know if it comes with a heat shield for the HKS Racing Suction Intake Kit?
or is it only for the HKS Racing Suction reload intake kit?
please help ..>~!
and does it matter if you have a 06 coupe at would that fit on there?

My intake was the original RS intake. It did come with a heatshield, but I couldn't get it on (...read 'was too lazy to really try'... lol!). Acutally I did try to put it on, and it probably would have fit, but it would have taken some time to bend the heatshield in the proper shape to fit it around the filter. I run without the heatshield. I don't think I get too much heat soak. Also, I'm pretty sure it would fit you 06, it should fit any G35C regardless of AT or 6MT. Hope this helps! Any more Q's?

Hey kpop- slow down there just a sec. I don't mean to be rude, but use complete sentences and spell check. It's a bit hard for us to understand what you're talking about. No need to hurry the replies. All we got is time. So take it easy there .

Where did you order you intake from? Check with them to see if you've got the original or the 'Reloaded' version. I think the only thing different is the filter element and its 'cage'.

About the performance of the HKS RS, it adds a few more ponies up top. I didn't notice much loss in the low end. The sound is nice. Not too loud, but adds a nice blow-off style whistle when you rev up the engine at let off. If anything, the intake as definetly improved throttle response. You also don't have to put the heatshield on. It'll help from heat soak, but I'm sure it's by a neglible amount unless you track your car. Hope this helps.

looks good but why do you have the snorkle from the oem intake still on to blow cold air to the filter or just to lazy to take it off

 

Crusin- yeah I left the snorkel on to try and direct cooler air onto the intake. I had initially taken it off, but it left the engine bay looking incomplete, sorta void. I'm sure it helps a little bit since I don't have the heatshield on... but who knows.
