What is that whistling sound

What is that whistling sound like air being sucked in when you get on the throttle. Is it the intake? What mods amplify that sound? I have the MREV+ and 5/6" spacer.
When one mentions intake sound do they refer to that whistling sound or something else?

If you don't have a CAI it sounds like a vacuum leak.

I had a faint whistle with just the ztube & drop in filter. The car only had 50 miles so I know it was not a vacuum leak. It was amplified and appartent with an intake I put together from my old maxima and 5/16 md spacer that was put on at 200 miles.

i think it's just the air coming through the engine or it's your z-tube if you have one...i hear the whistle too...i did a vaccum test and my car is perfectly fine

popcharger will give you that whine and its amplified with the motordyne...that sucking noise added with the grumble of the z tube and the topspeed headers plus the stock exhaust (amplified due to headers) = SEX!
