05 6MT Sedan modification plans
05 6MT Sedan modification plans
These are my plans. Any point in going any further?
Intake:
Stillen BOX with Z-Tube
MD ISO Thermal MREV 2
5/16 spacer
Exhaust:
Fast Intentions Sedan exhaust
Alphawerks headers
Kinetix or Crawford HFC
This should not net me more than 20-30HP but should sound ridiculously good. Plus who expects it from a Sedan?
No point in going FI; I will sell the car within two years.
What do you think?

Sounds like a good plan, but I don't know if I'd do the upgrades if I knew I would sell inside of two years. Depending upon how much money you put down when you bought the car and how much depreciation occurs as a result of the new models, you may find yourself upside down when you go to sell. Couple that with the fact that your mod list will cost a couple thousand dollars and not net you a dime when you sell the car and you could be looking at being out several thousand dollars at the end of your two year timetable.
But if money isn't an object and you're a serious enthusiast that enjoys modding, I think you've got a good plan. Like cato said, definitely consider the sways. Almost everyone who has them says they're great, and unlike most engine mods that are only effective at high RPMs, you'll feel the difference the sways make every time you turn the car.
Good luck!
