Performance Expectations

I'm modifying my intake and exhaust setup soon on my 06' Coupe. Im looking at Strup headers, Crawford HFC's, HKS dual exhaust, Motodyne 5/16's spacer and Injen CAI. Do you guys think i'll get any gains after all this is done? Any feedback would be great. Also, does anyone know if Vortech makes a SC yet for the 06 Model?....i was looking on their website but it only said up to the 04.

yeah of course youll get gains... youre freeing up alot of exhaust and it will flow alot better with those parts on.

If you're doing all of those breather modifications, and not going FI, i'd definitely look into an A/F ratio controller or a UTEC to tune the car so it doesnt run lean. But some people, with all the mods you've listed and a tune with a new ECU have seen about 30 whp ( just a rough estimate though, every car vary's )

I wouldn't focus on the peak horsepower gain; you want to increase the horsepower in the RPM range where your gearing keeps the car. i.e. what's the point in gaining 5hp from 1000-2000rpm when the gearing keeps you above 4500rpm all the time?

ya well i've heard both things. You'll either get a lot of good power or basically none at all. I think i'm gonna go with that whole exhaust set up except the exhaust itself. you'll have to tell me how it all feels

well since vortech doesnt make a SC for my car yet and I need something......i figure exhaust and intake would be the best way to go. I wanna do wheels also but its the winter so I'm gunna wait till the summer comes back around. I'm sure I'll get some good results.
