I need some input on Kinetix ssv intake

does anyone have the Kinetix ssv intake manifold in their g35 coupe? Is it worth paying almos $900.00 dollars for it, for like the horsepower gain. is it a good deal or i can get something else for the car that wil work better. and mods for the engine i already have HKS exhaust, dc headers, and test pipes .pls help me out. where can i buy a new one for the cheapest price. i don't want supercharger or turbo kit. tnks

the MD spacer combo is really good and dyno proven. check out their website for dyno graphs and pics. G352NV has the kinetix plenum. pm him for info. From reading the boards, it seems that it is more of a cosmetic mod.

FI or not its all show and no go. If you want it as a show piece then do it. If not then dont.

I agree, it looks sweet. Plenum spacer or crawford plenum for some horsepower.

Dont get it, if you want an intake id advise you look at something like the z-tube, k&n filter combo or the injen cai.

ssv doesnt seem to have a good reputation in regaurds to their performance..

and id agree with the those of you that it does look nice

Take it from someone who has one. It works. It does not lose horsepower, plain and simple. There are other threads discussing the SSV. Do a search and look at the comments. You will notice that the comments are similar to that regarding a Stillen exhaust vs. a Borla, HKS or the like.

The negative comments about the manifold either come from jealousy or being naive about the manifold. The manifold is lighter, has 6 ram tubes, and is set up with a fitting for nitrous. With FI, it really makes the power, but even N/A as mine is, still makes fantastic power at around 4,000 rpm.

I would say that the manifold is worth the price. If you don't want to spend the money, the mrev and spacer are a good deal too. The main thing is to improve the airflow in the manifold and eliminate the restriction that the stock manifold has. PM me if you want any more info.
