I want to sale my stock exhaust because it is taking too much space in my garage. Before I sale it, does anyone know will the Injen Track Edition Ti Tip TD Exhaust pass smog check and it is 50 States legal? I am in Socal if that matters. I have not install or replace any other part in my car except the exhaust. Any help is greatly appreciated.

it should pass emissions but be warned that you may get a fix it ticket for this exhaust because it's so loud.

 

I had it, I dont see why it wouldnt pass smog but you never know. You shouldnt get a ticket for the exhaust. I had it for a few months and never got a ticket for it. Just be cautious around cops and youll be fine.

 

just because you didnt get one doesnt mean he wont. lol. leagally, it's too loud. and cops don't need to measure the decibals either...if they think it's too loud then you're screwed.

 

True, and actually, the second to last time I got pulled over, the cop did tell me to get rid of it. And youre right, its up to each cop whether or not they feel the exhaust is too loud

 

i think that's stupid...if i was a cop id give everyone a ticket for loud exhaust...

you should e-mail/call injen and see if the exhaust is legal in CA db wise...if it is then just keep a print out of it in your glovebox to show the one time if you get pulled over

 

i wish id remember for sure...but i remember hearing someone at a meet say it's over 95dB's

 

If it's over 95dB it's illegal...Just be a more observant driver and slow down/shift early when you see a cop...cops usually don't trip in Los angeles unless it's

insanely loud...the only time i've been pulled over for a loud exhaust was in my friends fixed up 3rd gen rx-7...he got pulled over like 3 times in 3 weeks so he changed it
