ECU reset works but...
I installed a Stillen intake with Z tube, MREV2, DC Sports headers and Crawford HF cats recently on my '04 G35 5AT coupe. The results are very good but I've got a "service engine soon" light. The pedal method ECU reset works (per the MREV2 procedure) but the ses light comes on again after a minute or so.
Is there a "break in" time for these mods? I have a great mechanic who services my SC'd GSR so I know the install was done right. He's going to research the problem but I thought I'd look for some input here.
I've got about 250 miles on it since the upgrade. Any ideas?
TIA for suggestions.
BTW, with these mods and the stock exhaust it's very quiet. Until you put the foot to it. Then it turns heads. Very nice.

+1 for Tony!!!
Also - you should verify that everything is installed properly. Tight conenction, re-torque bolt where needed. You could have an intake leak. Also, you can try, with the battery disconnected, to unplug and MAF sensor and replug it in, then reconnect the battery and see what happens.
I have never known a Crawford CAT to cause a CEL - in fact, I don't know of any CAT that causes one...to my knowledge, so the non-fouler is likely not the issue.
Check the O2 sensors - maybe not tight or a wire got messed up.

Thanks for the input, guys.
I'll have my mechanic take a look at everything mentioned in the replies. He's a great guy and this is his first shot at a G. I'm sure that one of your solutions will work.
I'm on travel now but I'll have things checked when I get back.
Once again, thanks for all the suggestions. As soon as we get it figured out, I'll post the fix.

Update
The codes indicate that the MAF sensor is having a problem with the air temperature reading and another related to the exhaust. I'm waiting for an email with the exact codes but I'd guess that a bad air temp reading would cause an exhaust error due to an incorrect fuel/air mixture.
A leak check indicated no problems.
My mechanic, Art, called about the Mrev2 and got some excellent support that sort of pointed to a possible problem with the Stillen intake and z tube. They said it was possible that, because it was new, excess oil on the filter might have fouled the MAF sensor. A check indicated it was ok.
Stillen was another matter. They refused to provide tech support unless Art provided information on where the intake was purchased as well as other info. Then they said something about buying from unauthorized vendors. What a load of crap! Absolutely NO help. You might even find that intake for sale here shortly so I can replace it with something else.
Art wants to replace the original intake (with K&N drop in) to see if that fixes the problem but as luck would have it, I've got to travel again Sunday.
I'll post again when I get back and Dr. Art has his way with the car.
BTW, I'm in north Alabama.
