06 6MT Coupe - Here is what I am thinking of doing!

I have finally made my first dozen runs on a 1/8 new track in Miami and now i am ready for a few minor upgrades.

I was thinking of starting with the Injen CAI, but now i had a few people tell me not to??

next the MREV2 and the 5/16th spacer.

the only other thing would be exhaust or at least some test pipes (with a resonator)

yes?? no?? maybe???

I think i will just start with this for a while until i can afford to really go crazy.
;-)

Thanks!!

If you must mod.................. open up the rear first. Open up the exhaust side first and then the intake side. A nice free flowing exhaust will do wonders for the VQ. Then go after the intake end. Just my opinion. Happy modding.

all the mods you do just make sure they will pay off in the long run with your TT.......get headers, pulleys, plenum, etc

so the stock muffler is not good enough (for now) with the Plenium, MREV & CAI?

What about if i drop in test pipes (with a resonator)

Thanks!!

MREV is a plenum (03-04 stock plenum just modified). Your first mod will reap you the most gains aside from a CAI, which is about noise for the most part. If $ is no concern then open the back first. If it is then the plenum and spacer is a good place to start. High flow cats/ testpipes would be a good combo with the MREV and you could use your stock mufflers. So it's really up to you. Dollar for dollar.......... the MREV and spacer combo with HFC should work good and at the same price as a good catback. Later on you'll want to remove the stock cans and open it up even more. Hope it helps.

+1

And if you can tolerate test pipes, do them.
They will make ~2X more gains than cats. ...and they cost ~1/3 as much.

MREV w/5/16 is NICE! Test pipes with stock setup? Maybe look into high flow cats instead
