G35X exhaust options? Catback

I searched and read old threads for a couple hours today. Thanks for all the info people have contributed.

I have an 06x. I think I would be fine with the Stillen cat back exhaust (single muffler, dual tips) but I wanted to ask what my options were.

I read some say the fast intentions sedan exhaust is good, but does it work on the G35X?

Are there any dual muffler (or true dual) exhaust systems for the AWD G?

Basicly... can anyone give me a quick and dirty list of options? I can search and get info about cost/sound/etc once I have a general idea.

Thanks everyone!! Great people on this board!

I have 06 G35X too and I have gen2 Stillen exhaust for more than haft a year now. All I can say is that this exhaust rock. It sounds really nice not loud at all like some other have experience with.

Ed the Borla DOES NOT FIT the awd trust me I tried it.

The only catback that does fit would be the stillen. I've had it for for a while and I like it you do feel a difference in power.

Some awd guys have done coupe middys and a different muffler.

Yes, you will still pass inspection since the catback has no impact on emissions.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the AWD and the RWD exhaust if any? Been reading around and all I can gather is the Y pipe is different. I'm interested in the Megan catback with the burnt dual tips but every company selling it says its for RWD only.

The difference in RWD and AWD exhausts comes from the transfer case location, under the car. A good exhaust shop can modify a lot of the RWD options out there to fit an AWD model. I do know that there are some (I forget which) that cannot be modified easily though.

Which year G35 do you have? If it's 2007+, Megan Racing does offer a catback that fits RWD and AWD. For the first gen, it's RWD only.
