Question about all aftermarket Y-pipes
Question about all aftermarket Y-pipes
I just got a fujitsubo exhaust and JIC Y-pipe but the y-pipe doesn't have a heat shield like the stock does. Does the Stock one fit over the aftermarket y-pipe? If I don't install the heat shield will I feel heat through the shifter and console area? I searched but couldn't find anything.
i also have a Fuji exhaust and a JIC y-pipe combo. i highly recommend this mod. i dont understand your question... i will answer both ways. Your stock y-pipe will fit the fuji exhaust. second, the stock y-pipe heatshield wont fit the JIC y-pipe, no way!!! The shape of the JIC pipe is totaly different from the stock y-pipe. You dont need to do this, mine works fine.
my question is that the heat shield on the stock oem y-pipe has purpose. To deflect heat from the shifter console area and inner cabin. Im from Texas so it can get really really hot here. I just want to know if any of you felt any kind of heat from the aftermarket y-pipe without a heatshield around the arm rest, shifter console, shifter, the side of the seats?
