Z Air Duct on a G35c

I have seen this part on some Zs.

I chopped it onto our cars. I think it looks okay/undecided at this point. I am sure it would be somewhat functional, but a little concerned about rain. Opinions welcome.

Seems quite pointless and really doesn't look that good either. I just don't see it.

really ugly if it sat in the grille like that. it would look better in the bumper. it still serves no function either way though.

Thanks for the replies. I am looking for something to spice things up. I am not going to do this mod. I can’t decide to mod or to not mod my car.

Yea, Air Duck.............

I trying to visualize where on the G you could mount/install a duct where it
would actually serve a purpose aka work.....sorry it's a duck!

I thought the air box inlet is in that area. After the most recent storm on the East Coast, I will not be doing this.

Naw, it looks pretty bad. Maybe you could design a "CAI" like style that would go from the lower face duct on the bumped directly up to the air filter...like sooo

Just kind of use your imagination of what it would look like and it makes sense
