What is the best plenum spacer or similar, any downside?

I've been looking for a plenum spacer just because I heard it's a good first performance mod to do, I've seen MANY different sizes, brands, and styles. I have a stock 06 G35 that I maybe plan on putting cat-back system on. What size would be right for me? What brand should I go with? Or should I just not get one at all?

What are the downsides of the plenum spacers? Running too lean? Too much air, any problems with the car?

I've researched them a lot on this website, I HAVE USED THE SEARCH FEATURE, but I have my own questions that weren't really answered and would like to hear the responses to them on this thread. Thanks in advance to anyone who is willing to help.

Motordyne makes good spacers as well as Kinetix and Crawford. They all pretty much do the same thing which is give you more high end power.

Redlude97 give him a break he's a noob

i must agree with redlude, i don't see any specific question that you have asked that hasn't been asked by an 05+ 6mt before.

however, to answer your question..
the best route for you would be to go with motordyne's 5/16" plenum spacer with mrev2.

you should not have any problems with this mod, provided a correct installation.

So basically they give you high end power, anything for better acceleration besides forced induction, good mod for better acceleration that is $1000 OR less/or not too much more

Some gears would give you some "go-baby-go", but you can always do Noz and get some real good neck snap. Other bolt-on's are good but........ hey it's up to you. Research it.
