Take a Look at this...

Ordered Borla Catback Exhaust from Borla Direct.com... Took it out of the box (to admire it's beauty before having it installed) and felt like someone kicked me in the stomach. Look at this thing. Looks like a bad welding experiment. They claim it comes right from Borla (aftr traveling thru a few middlemen.)
Not only are the tips different and not welded straight, they are not even the same damn length.

Now they tell me that it is going to take a month before they will send me a new one. WTF. I need to send them the old one and then they need to get a refund from Borla and then they will send me a new one. I guess customer service is not that important anymore.

maybe they had to chop it a bit cuz it would not fit into the box right.

One of those exhaust tips is longer because the back bumper curves, the differences in length is less noticeable once on the car. They all do this, I think...at least my HKS did and I just got it.

Not the best picture but I think you get the idea.

That looks perfectly normal, just like any other Borla muffler I've seen on a G35 sedan. The tips are positioned like that to match the curve of your rear bumper.

Honestly

Trust me, I was really excited to get it installed. I really pushed myself to come up / rationalize as to why this muffler looks like it was welded together by a 3 year old. I could not do it. I have seen angled lengths (similar to HKS above) Most others at least use the same tips and are just staggered a bit. This is garbage.

Dude, that's how this muffler is made. Borla build quality isn't that great. Search around and you'll see that all of the Borla setups look exactly like yours...

If that is the case then this jacked up rig is going back from whence it came.

To all the comments on here: That is not normal!

That is not what my Borla looks like at all. My tips are offset a little to fit the curve of the rear end but not that much and all my welds are good.

Stillen tips are staggered too... as for the welds - damn how are you guys getting the pic big enough to really see the welds enough to know it's sh!tty?... I can't see the welds close enough.
