i'm thinking about getting a cat-back i was under the car the other day and the stock cat-back is getting old, the only thing is i don't want it loud maybe as loud as the coupe or a little louder. i was thinking about these:
1. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/GRedd...10543640QQrdZ1
2. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tanab...10544800QQrdZ1
anyone using one of these,or other ones that would work for me

Both of those look to be mufflers only. You might want to consider swapping out the 2003 mid-pipe with a coupe one. That change alone will give you a deeper and more satisfying exhaust note. Many of us have done that, and then added the HKS sport muffler. What a great combination this is!

actually the're both cat-back systems, by the mid pipe do you mean the big square thing after the catsOriginally Posted by cato

Yup....it goes cats, then y-pipe, then that big-a$$ rectangular/boxy heavy OEM mid-pipe, then muffler.
I too have the same setup as cato and am quite happy...though if I could do it all over, I'd have gotten the '05 + sedan middy instead.

what if i remove the mid-pipe and put piece of straight pipe in its place would that be really loud?

ok i don't want the drone effect, what about the y-pipe is the one from a coupe better in any way i heard some people use the 350z y-pipe and the mid-pipe from a g35 coupe, i can get a g35 y-pipe and the mid-pipe for a good price i just don't know if the y-pipe is better than the sedan
