I found this interesting Fujita = 10hp

Exactly... like I said, one pull too many and your car will be running too hot to get it's highest numbers. (typed too fast last time and forgot an "o")

A bit if both... The intake gave him the 10hp increase over stock, but you won't see your peak power until your car is warmed up. In other words - 1st run the car is cold and won't read good numbers. 2nd run, the car is a bit warmer and so your numbers are a bit better. But it's usually the 3rd or 4th run where you get your peak numbers. Anything more than that and your car will most likely be too hot to get any good numbers from (unless you really let it cool down for a bit)

If someone is doing full runs on a dyno without the car being warmed up they should be shot...

My point was that we see only part of the picture with Fujita's dyno sheets. So Jeff92, we do not know what is compared to what-"cold" to "cold" or "hot" to "hot" or any combination of conditions.

So how do you know the gains from the intake if you never did a baseline?

I did not claim any gains from intake. Please re-read my posts.

Why did you bother with the dyno post in here?
This thread was about the intake gains and you just posted this:

i think the point he was trying to make was that just because someone shows you a dyno of their product with a gain of +10 hp doesn't mean you should expect 10+hp...as an example he showed his graph that displayed a variance of 7hp with no mods

If those numbers are from a single dyno session, then I think someone doesn't know how to read the dyno numbers... and if the numbers are from different days, then he might not understand that your car will make different numbers under different circumstances (hotter/colder outside air temperature, elevation, etc...)

But he's right, just because they show you their product is making 10+hp doesn't mean it will since there are many ways to manipulate the dyno to read higher numbers.

+1

I have not seen any intake for the G make 10hp for everyone. I think the Injen cold air makes the most and it is not even 10.
