Major changes same speed!!!!

guys,

i own a g35 coupe 2005 auto , i have installed tein Coilovers, AEM cold intake, dc sports headers, Hilex cat delete pipes and Greddy evo2 exuast.

the cars sounds amazing and very aggressive, however the speed of the car has remained the same in the quarter mile but with more pull .

does any one have any idea why this is happening ? and what do you recommend?

regards,

AB

you won't get much out of na mods... intakes nada, exhaust some gains. mrev2, spacers and tune would make it a little better but... unless you go fi, you won't see any 'major' gains

Lol, those are NOT major changes..

Yeah I recommend Forced Induction....and getting a 6MT

Intake = worthless (just for looks and sound)
Exhaust=same thing (helps more than intake though)

If you dyno your car you will see some difference on paper, but none at the track.....

start working on your internals and electronics and go FI..

get a utec to maximize the mods. you could be losing power with out a good tune.

if you're not goin FI, then just get an ecu reflash after you're done modding.

you should be pulling decent times now in the 1/4. Probably low 14's if not breaking into the 13's, so I would keep working on your driving. Also depending on how stiff you coilovers are set, it could be hurting you in the 1/4 rather than helping.

go to the tech section on the forum under Forced Induction and start reading, there's 1000's of pages of info on there. It all depends on your wants with your question of "which one is better?" FI kits installed can cost anywhere from $7000-$17000 depending on if you build the motor or not.

I'd say that if you got a Unichip or Utec and had the car dyno tuned then you would see some significant gains with the mods you just made to the car, and it will make the car safer as well.
