so much confusion about exhaust...

aight, i'm getting confused after reading all the threads about exhausts. people are saying the HKS are the **** but others are saying fastintentions are and others are all about stillen... someone please tell me, which is the exhaust with most performance? i don't care about looks or sound...just the power gain. please comment!~

If your looking for power your lookin in the wrong place. Your not gunna get much out of an exhaust. It's mostly just looks and sound personal preference.

I'm not sure if it is still the "best", but previously stillen was the exhaust putting out the higest numbers.

Yes, it was the heaviest, but he asked for which exhaust was putting out the most power.

Stillen was puttin out the best numbers but was the heaviest, i believe the HKS and FI were about the same as far as numbers and weight. i would say go with one of the last 2, if you have $$ to spend you can look at going ARC or Amuse...8lbs full titanium system $2k+

Here is how i have been looking at it. You are either going to sacrafice weight for power or power for weight...only exception would be a titanium exhaust.

Stillen weighs 6 pounds more than stock from what i remember, but was said to yeild 5 more HP than HKS on the dyno.

HKS weighs about 10 pounds less than stock, but was yeilding about 5 less than the stillen.

In the long run you are going to end up in the middle for weight to power. Stillen makes more power, but that extra power makes up for its extra weight. So like i said in the long run they are both going to be providing just about the same amount of power while driving. So you are really going to be going for sound.

Fast Intentions! Not only for power/weight but the sound is so sexy..

IMO ALL exhaust will give you about same power...Not too much different or really noticeable on the track, maybe on paper but not in the track

haha, well i dont think Stillen or HKS have changed their designs at all, so i still think the stillen makes more on dyno power. Fast intentions came out way after i baught my exhaust so i honestly never read about it, but from what i hear it is very well liked.

Found the link to the shootout.

HKS and fast intentions were not compared (they test the Injen though), but HKS and Injen are pretty simular in design so i betboth are pretty damn close in terms of looks, sounds, and performance...Anyways, here is the link.
