Nah. Keep the stock tube though. It's an easy 10 minutes swap job.

Re: Does installation of the Z tube...

No. IF anything did happen to the engine, they would have to prove that the intake tube was the cause. Besides, the Z-tube is a genuine Nissan part.

Cool...cuz Infiniti are the ones who are servicing the car for the next 4yr/60k miles. I wouldn't want them to call & tell me that my warranty was voided after they serviced the car & saw an aftermarket upgrade.

It's not a stock part, so technically yes, it voids the warranty; read the fine print. Practically, however, any warranty repair denied would need to be specifically attributed to the intake system, and the odds of that are low, considering how nominal of a change the Z tube makes.

I think you will be ok.

Knowing the service techs at Infiniti, speculation on my part, they probably won't even realize you have swapped it out with a Z tube.

Remember, it's not what you know it's what you can prove.

The local Infiniti dealer does the swap, so it's okay with them. They even sell and install GroundingGear™ which of course is aftermarket and have no problems with the warranty. Some dealers may not be as 'mod friendly' though, so may give you more of a hard time.

Sorry, GroundingGear™ is the brand of Hyper-Ground kit that I manufacture. For all about H-G kits and feedback, read the Hyper-Ground Thread. There are many other sources for H-G kits as linked on the thread, but GroundingGear™ is the one that is sold and installed by various Import New Car Dealerships where many of the staff have it in their personal cars (the feedback spreads quickly in a small family).
