Hi I have a 5AT 2004 coupe. I was wondering what are the best type of parts I can get for the car that is not forced induction like turbo and supercharger. My budget is around 2k. My goal without a turbo charger is to get my car up to around 330HP is that possible (parts I've only heard about are like an ECU flash and cold air intake)?
Then when I have enough for a TT kit I was hoping to get the car above the 400 HP range. Is it even possible for me to tune an automatic car up to 400+HP with a budget of 6-8k total?
Also, is it possible to somehow get a 6th gear for the auto transmission? and how much would it cost and time?

one do a search. the 2k budget is a real popular one. do exhaust (HKS- best ever, and can be gotten cheap from thmotorsports), Intake (AEM or NISMO, no Injen), Motordyne 5/16" plenum spacer. That's about it for only 2k. You can get a utec or a AAM reflash but I would wait until you at least have headers or HFC's before you do this. 2k doesn't get you a whole hell of a lot for our car since parts are expensive. It's definitely not possible to hit 330 whp with this budget, but you may be making around 330 hp (to the crank) after a decent tune. Also 6-8k is way too low for a TT kit. The install can be as expensive as the whole kit (they have to remove the engine and disassemble the front end to install it). For a AT car your best bet is the turbonetics single turbo kit (which you can do for 6-8k). You can still hit over 500 whp with the kit if you wanted to (if you can strengthen your tranny enough to handle it). The TT kits aren't worth it if you don't want high hp. IMHO. I'm going to ignore your last question because I meaner person would flame you for it.Originally Posted by Lvtran8
