Has anyone tried these cats. They say 50 state emissions passing. http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?m...ust&prodid=580

I think you would be safe with those. A few others should pass too like the Crawford and Kinetix ones.

In Cali - we need OBDII cert'd CATS - none are made other than OEM.

Remember - testing is different all over the US. In some states, if there IS a CAT and it passes, your good enough, in others if it passes your good enough, and in Cali you have to pass a full visual and emissions.

Sometimes, emissions pass isn't enough. In Cali as well, a header, like DC Sport, with CARB approval - or a standard Vortech setup, are also CARB approved and therefore do not affect your smog test ability/consideration. But walk up to a test facility with non factory CATS, and you'll be denied the test as you'll fail visual.

One last note: some CATS have carb numbers on them, but the set of CATS are not CARB approved. A CARB number on a component doesn't mean it is fully CARB approved. The unit, including pipe diameter, etc. must all be approved as a unit.
