Another review of F/I Exhaust (Catback) only

I have nothing but great things to say about this exhaust. Craftsmanship was top notch. Instruction was right to the point. Install was a breeze (Just under an hour).

Now the other info.
Sound is terrific! I went with just the cat back system no test pipes or high flow cats. The sound now is what Infiniti should have done since day 1! It's like the stock sound but on steroids. As for the butt dyno. I have to give it two thumbs up. Advertised at 11 TRUE RWHP and 9LBS of TQ.

My good friend who has a 05 Z with the HKS went for a ride. His words not mine, "where can I buy one, you know anyone looking for a HKS system"

So anyone looking for a great sounding exhaust and one that wakes up the car? You gotta check out http://www.fastintentions.com/350z.htm

Why won't they advertise their high flow cats on the website?

Hmmm, maybe has something to do with legalities

+1. Ive got to agree with you, the sound is amazing. Its loud when you want it to be, doesnt drone, has great gains, looks nice, is made with great care and of great quality, and has some of the best customer service to back it up should you need it. You can go wrong with Fast Intentions. Ive got the Stainless Steel Catback and HFC and its an incredible combination. You should check out their HFC and TP next to emphasize the sound and really open it up!

FI Website

First of all - Thanks for the kudo's - glad you love the system!!!

The only reason that they are not on the site...well...is that the site is now under construction with a new webmaster...so there haven't been updates for months and months...no other reason.

I would expect the new site to be up in about a month or less...

Rick

I don't beleive it. All of the sound clips are with test pipes, and the exhaust is actually more expensive then if you compare it to the HKS system. You F/I people just need to stop this ****. You won't beat out HKS..

Believe what you want. They use those clips because its closer to the
real thing when you install it and hear it in person.

I personally listened to several different systems. I was realllllll close
to going with HKS until I found this one. At that point, it was a no
brainer for me!

Just my $.02 beans

I'm glad you're happy. There are tons of guys on this site that swear buy the system you bought so I'd be happy no matter what. Both systems are great, it's just there has been enough HKS bashing on this site using false statements about the F/I system to warrant this kind of reaction. Search around and make a comparison. Sound quality is simply a matter of opinion, but when it comes down to comparing the actual products, including pricing and materials used, the HKS system wins hands down.

False statements? No, its the HKS people who now have heard/seen this exhaust and now want to change to F/I systems. Like my buddy who drives the Z.

I did search around and suggest you do the same. Obviously you haven't done
enough searching otherwise you would have noticed the build quality
on this F/I system is as good or better then most including the HKS.

That being said. Most people are like me and think of HKS because
of the name and reputation.

F/I will become more popular once people realize (as I did) they make
a great product!

No need to start the same "HKS vs FI" debate:

Both are great sounding exhuasts that attract different personalities.

HKS sounds hands-down amazing. In my opinion, it sounds like the product of a muscle car equally mixed with an exotic car sound.

Fast Intentions sounds a bit more civilized, yet still aggressive. In my opinion, it sounds somewhat like stock but with a deeper tone, and it sounds even better under WOT.

Both look very aggressive.

Bottom point is, you cant go wrong with either of them. Both of them look great and sound great.

It's just a matter of preference/taste.
