Hey aHero,
I think you need to be a little more specific on your sig, because I always thought you had FI cat-back, and assumed the "HKS" on your sig was probably a suspension mod or something else
So how do you like the HKS?
Even though ill probably be saving up for the 08 Coupe, if all else fails, ill be sticking to my 06 and mod the hell out of it.
I've been killing myself over which one I prefer...

Here's my deal:
I originally leased the 06 G35 6MT due to the fact that I knew a "refreshed" or "All-New" coupe was due at the end of 07.
It's just to risky.
I'd rather save a ton till the 08 Comes out.
If I love it, it's mine.
If I dont, then ill just buy-out my lease and mod the hell out of it with all the extra cash I saved up from the wait.
I dont think any of you know how impatient I am; I try not to think of it so the days go by quick

Oh, yeah, back to the original subject... going to G35 meets always seems to solve the problem. By the time you hear & see either exhuast, you'll definately have your mind made up

Hear's another positive review to prove your point. I just got mine installed today and it really does sound awesome! If you're just coasting, it is about as quiet as stock, but when you get on it, she SCREAMS! It amplifies the note at lower RPMs as well, whereas before the sound kicked in around 2k or so, it is immediate during acceleration from idle now. Haven't had a chance to drive it too much at WOT, but overall I have noticed the car sounds just loud enough to hint something isn't stock about the ride. I may get the high flow cats next, not sure. That will probably be my last MOD. The Mod bug is still strong though. My mods so far are: Ztube, Pop Charger, 5/16 spacer, Headers, and FI Catback. Opinions welcome.

Sound quality is simply a matter of opinion, but when it comes down to comparing the actual products, including pricing and materials used, the HKS system wins hands down.
As far as false statements, yeah right!
Where do you have this info. to back up that statement?
Look on my website as well as a few independent dyno's on here and my 350Z.
Our quality is just as good and I got news for you the H.K.S. is machine welded and our welds look just as good. To continue on, the H.K.S. uses thin 18 Gauge material(ever wonder why it's so light?) Which in turn is part of the reason why they need the two extra canisters on the back, (to help quiet it down because the sound escapes through the thin material.) To add to the list, it's not even 2.5 inches around so with that said I bet you ten to one if we were to take your car and have a little friendly dyno shootout I bet you ours will match the H.K.S. or maybe even beat it!
To touch on one more thing, I have alot of respect for H.K.S. and their products. They have been around for a long time and they have proven themselves time and time again. But I will admit, it does feel good to have my company rivaling them because we have only been in this community for about 8 months.
Thanks, Tony

I would LOVE to see a side by side Dyno comparision, use the same car, same day, with same cool down times. I have HKS, love it and wouldn't change, but I am not bashing anyone else's stuff, but IF FI is proven better gains on an independent Dyno, I think you guys could have a better share of this market. The last dyno I had I pulled 272.9 hp to the wheels.

OK all -
There is alot of technology built into the HKS system. It's bult very well and is a high quality system...nobody is bashing/flaming the HKS here...they are just giving kudo's to what they bought and love.
HKS has hundreds/thousands of reviews, both good and bad...so why can't FI? Just because the comapny is newer, and the product is too, and the product is selling very well and everyone is liking it, doesn't mean HKS supporters have to bash/flame it. We should all, as a community, be REALLY glad that companies are willing to give us more options and better products over time.
Everyone makes their decisions on what they like for sound, look and price...and also performance. But remember, out of all of the top systems...they ALL are within about 5HP of each other. So if your going to spend over $1,000 on a system - your paying for your personal preference in sound and look for the most part.
Keep in mind as well...most 'can' style systems rasp, drone and are really loud. The reason is that the 'can' does not and mostly cannot effectively or efficiently cancel and reflect pulse. So, like the HKS, a dead chamber is used to tune the system properly. When this is done, not only does it cost more to produce, but the company can put lesser products in the system, as a dead chamber can be VERY effective, if done right, to compensate for other short comings.
For me, and my over 20 years of car building experience, the LEAST amount of devices in an exhaust system, all while keeping great tone, little to zero drone, and lead-sharing performance - means the mufflers and components that are there, are of the highest quality and most effective.
Other than pipe - the FI system has 3 components - the X-pipe and 2 mufflers. The HKS has 4 devices - in the rear section alone and the resonators. That's 2X the devices to get a very similar result.
Now..with the above said...how complex do you want your system to be? For me, and about 80+ others in the last 6-8 months, less complexity and higher quality is preffered. People like hand built products that rival line and machine built/welded products. The line built products overseas are much easier to build and cheaper as well. Many more man hours go into an FI system than most of the others.
Having to wait months to get your system...that's just bull in my book! HKS makes the world wait - many are tired of it...so they are switching to something better, with better customer service, and especially, quicker response time! Oh yea - that new solution would be FI in this case.
Also - don't forget - the FI systems are built by the designers and owners of the company, all of whom you have virtually immediate access to almost 7 days a week...what other company does that????
So - if you want to bash FI...please at least have a good reason...and if you do have an issue, take the minute that it does take to call the shop first.
