Reliability of car after bolt on mods?

Hi guys,

I just bought a used 05 g35coupe, and have been reading on these forums about spacers, intake, etc. I'm expecting to purchase a JWT pop charger with z-tube and a 5/16 spacer... maybe FI exhaust in the not too distant future. My question is.... Will these mods decrease the life of my car? I always drive my cars to around 200,000 miles (daily driver).

You're good. With bolt on's you really don't add more stress or strain on the engine or drivetrain. But I do warn you................ those miles come a lot faster.

Actually some aftermarket parts, like a lightened flywheel or a smaller diameter clutch can actually result in putting less stress on certain engine parts (i.e. crankshaft). Like ISM said, flooring the car and beating on it is what reduces engine life.
