Injen SES Dual Exhaust
Injen SES Dual Exhaust
I know this system sounds great, but does the in-cabin drone that it reportedly has make it a bad choice? How bad is the drone? Please chime in.
depending on which one you get...there is a track ed. one and the other one... i had the track ed. one...it was okay...i got use to it....depending on the rpms and how fast your driving...i usually drive 70 to 80 on the freeway and i couldnt hear anythign then...but at lower speeds you could mad hear it...but it sounds soooooo nice
comming from a 2005 g35 coupe auto...
the Injen SES
the drone was FRIGGGGGGIIINNNNN HORRIBLE !
while i got used to it, it annoyed me to no end. I refused to take it off due to the 1k i spent on it.
the drone appeared to happen (from what i remember) around 2200-2800 on the rpm range... and this is like 60-85mph... not cool.
recommendation - get something else.

yea i had stock cats...i had injen cai 5/16 spacer and the injen ses track ed. with ti tips...it was freaking sweet sounding though... its deep and nice... youll like the sound but uhmm id say at 2 to 3.5 ish kinda low and loud... 4 and up youll hear it more but it wont be as low ish...i dunno how to describe it...but if your going up a hill/mountain youll for sure hear the exhaust then...but just straight driving at a decent speed you wont notice the exhaust drone in the car...
for about a month i had stock cats... then i switched to crawford.
from my experience the crawford cats provided a deeper growl and increase the drone somewhat.
if i could do it again... id buy the crawford cats and see how i like it with the stock exhaust then upgrade to another aftermarket catback system.
crawfords with stock sound great. they provide deeper growl while maintaining the stock sound during normal acceleration... when romped they are louder.

The droning on the Injen TI Track Edition is there until you hit 2.8k+ RPM. The sound is pretty annoying, by now i am pretty much used to it since when i cruise on freeways - going 70-80 kills the drone but other than that its their and ITS LOUD AND ANNOYING. But like i said im used to but my friends complain when they sit in my car. If it was up to me to do it all over again i would opt for another catback system
The drone is insane! I just had mine put on about a week ago and its driving me nuts. Like everyone says from 1800-2600RPM its rattles my rear deck and all the plastics in the back of the car. I'm probably gonna end up spending around $1500 on sound proofing just to get rid of those rattles.
