The only thing I can tell you is that when I installed my Nismo CAI the check engine light did not come on at all.

i installed mine last month and got no engine light either. i didnt reset my ecu either cuz i heard it resets itself after a short time. as for me i didnt notice a gain OR loss though i 'felt' things we're flowing better. makes sense? i didn't even notice sound changes until a few days later. i installed it myself and being a NOOB, i read things over and over carefully to make sure i did everything right. you might want to check your MAF? OR take it off and reinstall the OG set up and check to see if eng light is still on(PITA, i know). good luck man

i have the CAI installed in my g a couple months ago, there were no check engine lights that came on. i didn't do a reset either. felt no loss or gains. i know that didn't help much, but i guess you should reset your ecu.

Instructions:

Take old stuff out, put new stuff in. Don't get your MAF or throttle body dirty. Intakes are VERY straight-forward, and pretty hard to mess up.

Figured as much, but I am not 100% sure where everything goes and if I truely have all the parts. If I could get a copy of the original instructions with a diagram that would help, as I do not have any instruction to start with other than take stuff out and put new stuff in.

Has anyone dyno'd their car before and after their Nismo CAI install?

I installed a Nismo CAI with DC headers, a Z midpipe and an HKS muffler on my 05 sedan with Revup motor a few months ago. When we put my car on the Mustang dyno before tuning, my car was running very lean with a 40 hp loss somewhere after installing these mods.

Although I have gained the power back after tuning, there were no gains either. The baseline I compared those runs with were the before and after from when I first installed the MREV.

I'll be spending the next week or so re-installing old parts to see which is giving me the power loss.
