I installed the spacer today, and my richie strut bar is touching against the injen CAI. Cover is off, everything is perfect, just the CAI is rubbing against the strut bar at the bending angle. I have the bar at the lowest setting, I tried raising it a bit and i think it was touching the hood too much. Does anyone else have this problem or mayb tell me if I did soemthing wrong or what I can do to fix it. How high can I put the bar without damaging the hood? Also, will the bar touching the CAI casuse any problems? I was looking for any vibrations that it might give, but I couldnt feel anything. TIA guys for any help.

I was not able to take any cuz I was in a hurry. My mechanic did the install for me. (he is also my cuz). But it touches right where the first bend occurs on the richie strut bar. It touches exactky where the Injen CAI sign is.

each car varies on how high you can set the bar. mine is at it's lowest and still touches the hood. i have a z-tube but it clears, no problem. as long as you don't have any serious vibrations against the strut bar and intake you'll be good. you'll notice it if it starts rubbing by either a vibrating noise or if you look it will be apparent that they are rubbing together.

well my bar definitell rubs against the CAI. I dont kno if this will cause anything but its touching, and I cant bring up the bar because anythin other then the lowest setting I think touches the hood, since at its lowest setting it touches the rubber hood lining or w e.

Can I put something rubber around that part? Would this help? I mean its still rubbing but at least its not against the bare metal.

It's not the car, it's the build quality of the bar that dictates the setting of the bar. You can be assured that the tolerances on the G are far tighter than that bar

well if you cant do much about it.. i would raise it and have it rub against the hood padding rather than the CAI

The problem is that it rubs against the hood padding at its lowest setting. Any higher and your actually hitting the hood. I tried, and the hood showed it was bending at that point, so I put it back to its lowest setting. I baught some rubber weather strips. I think I will just put this under the strut bar so that its not actually rubbing on the metal therefore eliminating any vibrations if there are any. What do you guys think.

the rubber between the bar and cai is prolly the best you can do other than get another bar.

Wellll logic would say, try to adjust the Injen. But again, post a pic
