Who deburs it? Strup or DC?

I'm bad at explaining definitions, so I generally post something like this:

de·burr
–verb (used with object)
1. to remove burrs from (a piece of machined work); burr.
–verb (used without object)
2. to remove burrs from a piece of machined work.

burr1

2. a rough or irregular protuberance on any object, as on a tree.
3. a small, hand-held, power-driven milling cutter, used by machinists and die makers for deepening, widening, or undercutting small recesses.
4. a lump of brick fused or warped in firing.

The only reason I am thinking of going DC over Strup is the fact that DC's are actually carb legal. For any of you in California, you know how strict the state is in emmisions.

But man, mid 400's for Strup headers, which are basically DC's with the exception of the inner welding quality, is pretty damn tempting.

As far as whether the inner quality of the welds affect flow or not, I have no idea. I doubt it though.

Regarding CARB: I know neither DC nor Strup would save my butt on the smog test, but atleast it can prevent a cop from sending you to the referee due to the CARB Legal status of the DC's...

It's such a toss up; I think I might still go with Strup due to the price. I guess its a bit riskier, but for 400, im willing to take the risk

I doubt headers will affect the smog test on these cars, but it wouldn't matter which headers you get since they won't be able to see them too well unless they get under your car anyways.

And where did you find Strup for $400? DC ceramic headers retails in the 500-530 range and I'm seeing Strup's retail price well over that...

Headers do affect emmisions.

And regarding price, I stated mid-400's for the Strup. DC Stainless Steel, just like the strup are, retail for around mid 600 at best.

Some of our sponsers can give you amazing qoutes for them shipped

For Strup headers, check out partshippers.com or Tuning Factory. They had some of the best prices. What I saved on getting my Strup headers from TF, I used to get them coated.

You can find creative ways to get around labor too. Our club brought in a Master Tech on 2 separate occasions and had them install our headers for $300 each.

Well, I'm about to find out very soon... I just picked up some DC ceramic headers, along with a few other parts. I think I should be able to pass smog testing even with a high flow cat.

Hell, my last car was able to pass the sniffer without a cat. Just stinks and wouldn't pass inspection.

Either way, I'm gonna get my G tested after everything is done, and we'll find out for sure.
