Check Engine Light On with Non-fouler, Help...
I just got my brand new 07 g35c about a week ago, and one of the first mod i did was the strup testi pipes. I did my research and intalled the non-foulers. For the first week everything was fine, no service engine light what so ever. But this morning i took the car on a trip, 100km into my highway driving my check engine light suddently came on, it scared the **** out of me. The light stayed on ever since. I have unplugged my battery for the night and hopefully the ecu can reset and the light willl go off tommorow morning. For the mean time, i was wondering if anyone has experience this, does it have something to do with driving on the highway for an extended period? Any suggestion on helping me get rid of the service engine light would be greatly appreciated.
suspect, what is the g35s? did you mean the g35 with the sports package or the 07 g35s sedan. If you are talking about the 06+ Coupe, are you saying there is pretty much nothing i can do to get rid of the CEL due to testpipes? This is my first time hearing about this, can anyone verify this?

^^U could always try it--I have heard some, who have double stacked the non-foulers w/ mixed results. However, this also seems to tend to crack tp's.
Otherwise I guess an ems could get rid of the cel, but I don't think that would help to pass smog.

My car goes to FastIntentions on Monday afternoon to get the non-foulers installed, double stacked, so Ill see how that goes.
Ill post an update after I get back into town on Monday night or Tuesday morning.
Thanks for the information.

Cats will be removed from the car and inspected and we'll go from there. Its up to Tony at FI as to what is the best bet. One way or another, he'll take care of my car just like he would anyone else's. FastIntentions FTW!
well, after i reset the ecu the engine light went away for good, i drove around both on the highway and in the city, the light did not come back on. I am starting to think that only a long period of nonstop highway driving will cause my car to throw the engine light. Could it be that the exhaust fume builds up or gets a little stronger after a long period of high way driving?
My fast intentions resonated tp will be here next week, i will be double stacking them and hopefully that will get rid of the CEL for good. I will keep everyone updated. By the way, when my car threw the CEL, i definitely felt a decrease in performance, it's almost like the car switched to safe mode.

Resetting the ECU/CEL will cause it to turn off, but if the problem still remains, it will be back. Drive around for ~50 miles and it'll come back on. Ive been driving around with a CEL for the past month or so. Hopefully, itll be fixed on Monday, finally.
I have put about around 50 miles on it so far and it hasn't come back yet. But I agree that what ever it was that caused the light it is still there. extreme4377, good luck on monday and keep us updated...
has anybody found a fixed on this problem yet? i have an 06 g35 and i did the non fouler fixed reset the ecu and after maybe 20 miles the ses light goes back on again. i dont really like seeing there. any help yet please?
I have 05 and one set of non foulers worked. Driven 150 miles without throwing a cel. A lot harder to achieve wit 06+. Its getting harder to trick gov.regulated 02 sensors with each year. I dunno if there is 02 simulator that will work.
