Confusing spacer choice, need help deciding

I think I am going to get the MD 5/16 spacer as my next mod and I have researched this alot and know that the copper iso is for cold weather, iso for hot etc. However, I live in Ks, where it does snow, but I go to school in Miami where it is very hot. So for the next 3 years I will spend most of my winters in miami, but after that, I will most likely be spending them in the snow. My question then is should I get the copper iso thinking ahead and for the rare chances that I bring my car back in the winter? Will the copper Iso perform well in the hot weather of Miami?

Get the copper iso. It's the best bet for your situation.

Also nice choice on the 5/16, it is also the best overall choice.

the copper performs as well as the manual it's just automatic... If you don’t have cold weather often or are not sure you will return to cold weather you could still get the manual valve and have the same benefits... the only drawback is you will need to manually open the valve in the winter. It's not much effort.

Either choice will work - in either case though, do get the thermal kit with spacer... whether you go copper or manual is up to you.

Well if the only difference between the copper and iso, is just automatic vs. manual. I dont know if I want to pay an extra 50 bucks to not have to turn a **** once every 3 months. Will it be bad to have the **** on even when it isnt very cold?

they are both "iso"... one is manual (****) the other is copper (auto)... nothing is wrong with either. Either can be used. copper is a better choice for those in constantly cold climates so they don’t have to turn the ****. No there is nothing wrong with having the **** in your described situation... however if you were in consistent very cold climate I suppose there could be some slight chance of the valve freezing open or shut... you should consult with Tony at Motordyne for better clarification on that one.

Based on what you mentioned in your initial post - either kit should be fine. I'm in So Cal I rarely open mine.
