Intake mods Vs. HKS Exhaust

I am looking to buy some mods, but i was wondering what I would see more gains from Mrev 2 + 5/16 spacer or the HKS Cat-back?

MREV 2 + spacer is you have a 6mt will definetely net your more useable HP than an exhaust.

I agree, with the MREV2 + 5/16, you will feel a noticable differnece in how the car pulls. Go for the Combo!

you'll want a tune for mrev2 + 5/16" spacer on non-revups.

You will not get a bigger bang for buck on an NA G35 than the [5/16] spacer + MREV2.

.

the mrev2 is only for rev up engines right? I have an '04 coupe 6mt, so i would just get the spacer?

MREV2 is a modified nonrevup lower plenum that allows for better airflow. Installing an MREV2 along with a 5/16" spacer is benificial to all VQ's, but on nonrevups can lead to lean conditions which is why a tune is usually required.

I got both and there is NO noticable difference in pull. Either way it is such a slight increase in power it would be better to just save your money up and go FI. Now if you want better sound, go with the exhaust.

"NO noticeable pull"

i assume you are judging the gains of this mod purely by the infamous butt-dyno, then. i'm not saying that you are a liar, as all cars will react differently to mods (some will gain more than others). but the mrev2 + 5/16" spacer combo has been proven, time after time, to provide gains for revups (from independent dyno testing by consumers).

you must also consider that some people aren't as sensitive to change as others. or perhaps you expected too much and were disappointed with high expectations. then again, your car could have been one of those that did not react well with this combo.

I installed the MREV+ and a 5/16" spacer, first. Shortly after that, I installed the HKS Hi-Power Ti exhaust set-up. I have been thoroughly enjoying this combo for the past 18 months. Definitely get the MD MREV2 and 5/16" spacer and go from there.
