i just got the Injen cold air but don't know if i should install it before i get the ground kit. Would it be a problem to install the ground wire after the intake is in place?

You should be fine doing the CAI first. It shouldn't get in the way of you doing the grounding kit. That way, you can see how much your butt dyno notices with just the CAI, then see if the Hyper-Ground kit changes your impressions at all or adds to them.
