Exhaust or Headers?

On my 04 Coupe I wanted to get a little more power. I already have a Jim Wolf intake, spacer, and Pop charger. I don't want a super loud car, but I DO Want some more performance. Should I get Headers or an Exhaust. Or just do test pipes? I don't want to spend too much, and just wan a little extra punch in the throttle.

headers won't give you that much power. i have DC sports headers and they don't have that big of an effect.

in fact, i have the MREV + 5/16" spacer, Fuji Exhaust+Y pipe, DC Headers, UR Pulleys, and the intake/pop charger and maybe - MAYBE - i'm getting 30 more hp to the wheel.

about the only thing that will give you that extra punch if you're just looking for bolts on is the MREV2. Great bang for buck mod. After that, maybe the pulleys.

But headers, wait till you go FI for that.

Ever think of suspension and losing some weight? That'll work too.

Just wondering who has an MREV on a 03-04 and if they still think it's the best bang for the buck. ?

Do pulleys make that much difference? And should I go with underdrive or just regular?

if you have 05+ 6MT i say get MERV2 and 5/16 Spacer but you have an 04 so just get the spacer.

Headers cost to much and more $$ to install

well if you dont want to spend alot High Flow Cats would help

I don't get it. Why would you get one over the other? If you really wan't to maximize performance out of your exhaust, you will need headers and cats/TP's to go along with the aftermarket exhaust.

I would do exhaust first, and work your way up to the cats/headers.

.

Dumb question, but how easily can you get the CEL to go away if you get test pipes? Do the post-cat o2 dummies work on our cars?
