1. Mufflers
2. Catalytic Converter
As a result you will:
1. Trigger your service engine light.
2. Have one of the most obnoxious exhausts on the face of the earth because of the awful drone and backfiring.
Just buy a catback exhaust system or just get aftermarket mufflers. The saying goes, you get what you pay for and nothing could be farther from the truth when it comes to cars and modding.
Step 6 - Muffler tip: Don’t waste your time doing your entire exhaust system. No street racer knows the difference anyways. Just go to your local muffler shop and pick up a 3 inch muffler tip. Sound is perhaps the most important aspect of your import.

FYI: Don’t have time/can’t afford a muffler tip? That’s OK! Just get a drill and put a golf-sized hole in your muffler. Works just as well! + 4 Horse Power

there are more than enough threads on this. please spend some time searching the tech area.
you can get headers (not worth it for what you want), test pipes/high flow cats, or replace the resonator with a smaller one.

I think the resonator should only make the car quieter so you SHOULD be fine with it.
Taking off the Catalytic Converter is illegal so don't do that!
