Any one try A flowmaster muffler??
I am an old school muscle car guy and I always run flowmaster. I was thinking of replacing the stock muffler with a 2.5" inlet dual 2" outlet flowmaster 40 series. I realize to do this I will have to cut the rear pipe section Off my stock muff and cut the mounts as well then weld them onto the flow but, Im really curious what it would sound like being a chamber muff vs. a packed muff..uhhh no pun intended
. I told my wife I want to do this and she said "Oh no not one of those glass packing things?" I told her if I do it and she hates it I'll put the stock one back on it. What do ya fellas think?

really dont know man, lol never seen a G with flowmasters lol and 40series are loud i remember havin them on the 94 5.0gt lol Hmmm there is a first time for everything, i seriously love the 40series rumble tho, if u do it make sure u get us a video=]
I have two!
My Stillen gen 2 was too loud so I replaced the Stillen resonators with two Flowmasters. I don't know what model they are but they had to fit. They're about 2 feet long and 5 inches wide and are welded in. It sounds great! When I added the turbo, it really quieted down and made the sound a quite bit more mellow.

IMHO if it sounds good on a V8, it might not sound good on a V6. Trial and error is about the only way along with sizing them for a 3.5 V6. Try youtube for exhausts for a Z or G.
I had a flowmaster on my 89 Toyota Pickup V6 and it sounded great! Nice rumble, but not obnoxiously loud while cruisin'. A great sound around town with the windows down, even though I was missing 2 cylinders. Then again, that's on a truck...
