Injen CAI Installed-Sedan
Injen CAI Installed-Sedan
Installed the Injen RD1990 in my sedan today with the help of my brother. All in all a pretty easy install. The Injen instructions are very detailed and they have lots of pictures to reference. Performance wise I'm pleased. Butt-dyno shows an increase in HP, especially when you punch it. The sound is a bit loud (but mean) at full throttle, but not noticable during easy driving. I posted three pics in my "Rides" section on this site. There is a really good one with the bumper off where you can see where the air filter is located.

Re: Injen CAI Installed-Sedan
Nice pics - nice intake - nice mod! Don't forget to do the ECU reset as well as the Accellerator pedal release position learning, Throttle valve closed position learning, and Idle air volume learning. There are How-Tos and threads on this. From what I've read, this will help the ECU to adjust to the new flow.

Re: Injen CAI Installed-Sedan
Thanks townsley. I did the ECU reset procedure but I wasn't sure what the "Service Engine Soon" light was supposed to do when the procedure was completed. After I was done it would blink 3 or 4 times quickly, pause, then blink 3 or 4 times slowly, pause, etc. Is that what's supposed to happen after the reset has been completed?
