Angry Can someone help me solve this other problem with my car!

Ok, now that I have NISMO CAI, Noname headers w/ test pipe, and a borla exhaust my car after I rev it to 2k+ and let it rev down it sounds like a Turbo BOV going off. If the rpms stay up it doesn't do this; only when I rev and it drops down to semi-normal or if I shift in an aggressive manner and then let it go back to the normal rpm range.

Some intakes have a whistling noise to them. My Stillen one makes the whistling at about 3k but not so much now that I switch to an AEM Dryflow filter.

I heard it the noise you are referring to with my Nismo CAI before I put the exhaust and headers on...it's not coming from the CAI, my buddy was riding beside/behind me and said it was loud as **** from my exhaust; like a BOV in my exhaust.

Thanks for replying though.

Rasp from the headers and test pipes. My car does the exact same thing.

Well you removed all the reasonators that are suppsed to supress noise. I'd say it's normal unless you have an exhaust leak.

I don't think it sounds like a BOV at all.

Your time would be better spend putting the car up on some ramps and inspecting for a possible exhaust leak. That is if the noise you hear is actually a leak vs resonance from the test pipes.

What your hearing is the sound crawl back from the engine foreign order. You actually hear it all the time, from before the mods, but hardly audible. Add headers and you can really begin to hear it.

It's all vibration related though. check out your install - make sure everything is good and tight...especially heat shields.
