Knetix or RT cats?

I am deciding betweeen these two setups. Does anyone have any comments on sound/HP gains for each? The Kinetix cats are only $389, is RT worth the extra dough? Thanks

I'm pretty much in the same boat... and you gotta admit the RT Cats look a whole lot sexier. not that you would ever see them while they're installed but I am a freak and just knowing they are sexy makes me feel sexier. if that makes any sense.

anyway, please give some input if you guys have any info about the two Cats

Re: Knetix or RT cats?

I'm with fluffydot. I think I'm going to go ahead and get the RT cats. They definately look a hell of a lot better.

On my350z.com, Chebosto did a flow rate test of the Stock cats, R/T, and Test pipes. The attatched is a graph comparing them. The RT are damn near close to the test pipes in flow rate. Now whether the Kinetix is close or not, I don't know. But I'd rather put the higher quailty part on my car...Only the best for my baby

Re: Knetix or RT cats?

Only problem with the RT looking alot better is that they won't pass visual inspection. Kinetix cats look more OEM-ish (not as sexy) so they MAY pass visuals if your tech does look at them carefully. I am not sure which one flows better but the RT cats sure look hard to beat...

I second that go with the RT cats. You get what you pay for, and I just like the look of the RT cats they look better made. Just my 2 cents.

Re: Knetix or RT cats?

good point by brought,

Boy am I glad that I live in Florida where we don't have to get inspections for emissions. The only thing that stops me from getting test pipes is I hear they get quite raspy, which is definatly NOT what I want.

Kinetix for me. I'll save the $$--I don't spend time under the car unless I'm changing the oil.

Re: Knetix or RT cats?

I think I might get the Kinetix Cat instead along with their plenum... although RT Cat is very sexy indeed
