No, your car has an airflow sensor and cpu which will automatically compensate for the extra airflow. Although, with an AT, I don't think you'll see much of a difference in power. However, it will sound cooler, which should make it worth it.

i think the fact that his car is an 5AT is besides the point...

you don't need any ECU reflash you usually get that multiple mods like headers, exhaust, spacers, plenum, CAI and yadda yadda. But you definitely won't feel any gains with the CAI except for a nice tone from your engine bay If anything you'll loose some power in the low end.

Yes, that's pretty much what I said, but thanks for reiterating it. And sorry, but the fact he has a 5AT has multitudes to do with it. The torque converter will dissipate any real gains considering an intake alone will not give you enough power to really feel in the first place. But I'm glad we agree on the most important point, it will sound meaner and give you a better indication of what engine is doing without looking at the tach.

Yeah you won't feel a CAI on an AT but I don't think you'll feel it on an MT either.. so what's your point?

You would feel it on an MT, that would be my point. If you have a MT and you know your car, you will feel it. You will notice how your shift timing decreases because your car will accelerate faster. But not to digress, the whole point of this particular thread isn't the after effects of a CAI on a MT/AT, it's about some guy wondering if he needs to get his cpu reflashed because of a CAI addition.
