Fast Intentions Exhaust NEW PICS / CLIPS

Here are some more pics and clips. Some of the clips weren't great due to no tri-pod, other road noise and traffic.

clip 1 (idle/rev):

clip 2 (take off):

clip 3 (down shift):

clip 4 (slow take off):

sounds ok revving, sounds BADA$$ AND LOUD WOT!!! and i dont really know if what i'm gonna say is true, but losing the strup test pipes will get rid of the rasp. becaud every g35 exhaust video i have seen, if the words "strup test pipes" appear i hear rasp. just my 2 cents

You have test pipes right. I can tell the difference between my FI with stock cats and yours.

well, then maybe I'll try to talk to Tony at Fast Intentions again but from what I know, all cars with test pipes make the rasp....plus, on the x-pipe, i don't have resonators/mufflers so that could be the cause too...but overall, i ****in love it!

You should be able to tell the difference - there are no resonators or resonated X-pipe on this setup. This custom FI version only has the two rear mufflers and an X pipe.

You will get rasp no matter what you do with the way the system has been made for you. You will likely even get rasp with stock cats...in fact I would almost stake my reputation on it.

Without the proper resonators mid-stream in the system, you will rasp. Even the factory exhaust rasps when you take out the resonator - even with that HUGE muffler and restrictive cats.

As far as the myth of 'all cars with test pipes rasp' - not true. The FI system was designed for use with FI testpipes from day one. Is there rasp - a tiny bit, but hardly noticeable, and it is above the 5500RPM range. The key to getting test pipes is to make sure they are resonated. They dramatically decreases the rasp potential.

Rick

For the love of god people, read the whole thread before posting. He has a CUSTOM X-PIPE with resonators REMOVED. It's not just the test pipes causing the rasp!!

LOL.... yeah unluckycharms is right...CUSTOM X-pipe..... Well I'm glad the sound is cool to everyone. In the car, it sounds ridiculus. I can't believe how much this system opened up the car. my old Apexi N1 didn't even come close... I feel it pull a lot better at top end.
