Re: JWT Pop Charger with Injen CAI Tube

I am using the JWT Pop Charger. (With Borla Exhaust). So far it is great. Love the sound of the Borla. I have also had the NISMO CAI. I moved to the Pop Charger. I live where there is just to much water and did not want to risk it. Way to much humidity coming down in from the fender well and my luck I would hit a puddle that was a foot deep or something.

Do you think you lost or gained anything from going to the Pop-Charger from the Nismo?

Re: JWT Pop Charger with Injen CAI Tube

I have not did a ECU Reset "yet". I usually let me car adapt, and if it is not cooperating use that as the last resort. I would probably say honestly about the same. If there was any difference when I had it on the dyno with the NISMO and the POP on it (both times with exahust) the torque and hp where about the same. Each run ofcourse is different or will be within a few ponies and horses (depending on the humidity inside, temperature, etc). Variables ofcourse. So to not get too far off track I really have not noticed a difference b/w the too. On paper or driving it. I am hoping VORTECH comes out (they might have already) with a SC for the Auto.

Yes you can do it. You can either use the Injen intake pipe, and use the JWT as a Short Ram Intake. Or you an purchase another MAFS adapter, and connect the JWT Pop Charger in the same location the Injen Air Filter would be (when using the CAI setup).

Re: JWT Pop Charger with Injen CAI Tube

Depends on how you set it up. If you place the Pop Charger outside of the engine bay, then yes. If not, then you're better off just going with the 350Z tube.

Yes, if you make the JWT Pop Charger a CAI, it would be at bumper level.

Re: JWT Pop Charger with Injen CAI Tube

Yeah, that woud work also. But the JWT Pop Chargers are still probably the #1 intake for Nissan Vehicles.

Re: JWT Pop Charger with Injen CAI Tube

but doesn't the wet filter (oiled JWT pop charger) pose a threat to the very sensative MAF sensor? this seems to be a re-occuring problem in a few forums that have either re-oiled or have had their cars *(maxima's) for a very long time with wet filters such as K&N's.
