Question about GROUNG WIRE

My stock muffler had a large ground wire connected to it on the drivers side(it's a coupe, BTW). After I installed the aftermarket exhasut there was nowhere to put it, so I just left it loose but tucked away. Does anybody have ANY idea what the hell that wire does?? It doesnt seem to be affecting anything at all, but I was just curious seeing that it obviously had some sort of purpose.....

if its the one close to the rear drivers side then its just to hold the muffler up incase the rubber things that the hangers go into give out.

No, it's an electric ground! Just find a bolt to attach it to.

I knew it wasn't to hold up the muffler incase the hangers broke, but thanks for the SWAG anyways. (That's what muffler bearings are for)

I knew it was a ground wire but wasnt sure where to put it. I just have to get back underneath and find somewhere.

Thanks guys!
