Fast Intentions. Deep, growls at WOT, sounds excellent, and although you can definately tell it's a VQ, it's distinctively different than stock. Like someone else said, it sounds like the stock exhaust on steroids

I suggest you hear them in person. Video's never do justice to many types of exhausts, especially the deep sounding ones.

What's the price and best place to get an FI exhaust?

 

NO it does not It soundcs Great I put an "H" Pipe in mine. I luv it. A nice deep exotic sound that really bellows at WOT. Ti Tips too

i have heard everyone say that every exhaust is exotic. From HKS, Invida, Fast Intensions, i even seen a post a few months ago where someone said Borla sound exotic. Everyone has there own opioins man. Find a price you want to spend and do some research of what others say and get your exhaust. You will like anything you get.

Fast Intensions = top notch quailty sound like stock but on steroids, keeps the sound of a VQ. Very good company

HKS = more exotic sounding than any other exhaust on the market. I have talked with Fast Intension owner Tony and many other companys and everyone has told me that

However if you dont want to spend 1200+ then neither of these exhausts are for you.

XO2 - HKS knock off from what I have read people are very very happy with this exhaust. I have never bought a knock off and I didnt want to start with my G that was the only reason I didnt buy it.

There are going to be posts by everyone saying their exhaust is the best and it sounds like this and it sounds like. They are right no sound clip is going to do ANY exhaust any justice. I think if you search enough and read what people have to say you will end up finding the right exhaust for you. You are going to get a one sided answer when you start a thread asking what to buy. The best way is to search on here, on other sites, and forums.

As I said you get one sided answers when doing this, these were the only exhaust that I even considered, well the Amuse one I did as well. But that was a little high for a single exhaust but god is it sexy. I hope all this helps you a little. Call Tony Fast Intension or go on his website and listen to his exhaust. If you want top notch quaility and keep your VQ motor sound and no droning then that is the way to go. If you want a different type of exhaust note then look else where. DO YOUR RESEARCH DONT WASTE MONEY ON SOMETHING AND SETTLE. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING BUT IT IS TO HIGH SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY WHAT YOU WANT. NEVER SETTLE NEVER.

The difference in gains is roughly 5whp, or claimed so by Rick - a strong FI supporter. ~5whp should not be the deciding factor when you are choosing an exhaust, IMO. It's a negligible difference if you ask me.

 

shoot-your typical "whats the best exhaust" thread, these sorta polls are nice & informative, but in the end-you feel like you are even more confused as to what you want! (imo)

i am not going to repeat names of exhausts you have already heard on here, but what i would recommend you do is go to a local g35 meet and hear what kind of exhausts people have, and ask them questions also search for sound clips on youtube, have a figure in mind what you want to spend, my honest .2 cents! g/l

 

I think I found a winner ... Injen. Good price, true dual, nice deep sound, no rasp and last but not least, Ti tips.

 

not trying to be an turd aHero, I respect your posts, you seem to always know what you are talking about but what do you choose an exhaust for then? Isn't the reason you upgrade your car to get the most power and best drivabilty you can out of it? I know some go for looks (HKS), some go for a name (APEX-i), some choose for the $$$ (XO2). I want one that looks good, sounds great, and offers the most hp I can get, and from the research that I did I found it to be Fast Intension. I would have choose HKS, I think it looks amazing and sounds just as good. But F.I. can give me 5 more whp and look almost as good with the titanium tips and F.I. has outstanding quaility and does not have any droning. So they say, mine has not shown up yet.

Which exhaust did you have before you parted out? I thought you had F.I.? Like I said though exhaust threads are very one sided. Everyone usually chooses what they have on their car. The best thing to do is what the other guy said. Go to a G meet and listen to everything. Everyone's ears are differnet.

AMUSE ...like I said eariler...OUTSTANDING but man you talk about a ton of money for a single exhaust. But proably the sexiest exhaust out there
