Post Plenum Spacers: The Positive/Negative Factors.

What's going on. I was looking into getting the Plenum spacer for my G35. I just wanted to get your inputs about this before purchasing it. Im looking into getting the AAM one for $269.99. Heres the link to the spacer: AlteredMotorsports.com . Reason because I can get them to Install it since I live near MD. But does anyone have experience with this plenum?

Also, Using these aftermarket plenums, I know it helps air flow to the front cylinders etc. but doesn't it set the injectors a different and have a bad aim?

I guess my questions areicon17:

Is the AAM plenum spacer (And Intake) good?

What's the worst that can happened with these spacers?

Intake and spacer and installation for $650. Good deal?

Thanks

Sorry, this probably has been posted millions of times. My apologies again.

Worse that can happen w/ a spacer...you get NO power or even a loss of. I've read all the raves and rants about the good and bad, dyno specs and personal grief, etc. I hear that the Motordyne 5/16 is the best choice.

Forget the installation....DIY! Its not rocket science to install a spacer AND and an intake...even a CAI is pretty easy.

There is absolutely no way that an officer without specific knowledge about the VQ engine would be able to notice the MREV2/spacer. Especially with the stock cover on.

Again I have to ask why are you considering this spacer (after reviewing this dyno graph). the install of either teh spacer or plenum is pretty easy

Don't really have the time to do it. I'd rather get it done right the first time. But, thanks for the charts.

Get a Motordyne Spacer + MREV 2 and install it yourself. It's a piece of cake.

There are no "negative" effects of a spacer and/or modified lower plenum.

.

If AAM is charging you $400 to install they are hosing you !!! I bought an AAM spacer. I have never done work on any car before this and it took me less than a hour to install. Spend an hour and learn something. Use the $400 for an MREV2 or something....
