Is it true you might lose some low end torque with an exhaust like this?

i just installed my HKS last night. I alreayd had a coupe middy on and honestly, as soon as I let her rip, I felt the car had more responce. I actually felt more responce in the low end as well. So to answer your question, I don't think so. I felt something new that wasn't there before the HKS for sure

You can't deny the accuracy of the butt dyno.

wait haha so whats the verdict? I'm confused is there a loss of torque or no?

I def felt the slight increase for sure. Butt dyno or not - i drive my car quite fast and hard.

i felt no gain or loss of power. i did feel a slight loss of low end response though. i put the stock muffler back on for a few days just make sure it was not in my head. the stock muffler flows quite well for bolt on applications but the hks certainly sounds alot better.

All because of the valve that opens/closes within the OEM muffler....better low end torque.

my past vq30 had the same designed muffler. iirc, the design originated from some series of skyline.
